Hi Friends!

As we look ahead to the fall and a new season of ministry, we wanted to share a replant update with you.

We are confident that God is on the move in and through the people of CCC - and that includes YOU! The past two years of the replant have been full of excitement and joys as well as trials and sorrows. It is because of YOUR faithful partnership in praying for, giving towards, and being a part of the ongoing mission of CCC that we are able to celebrate with YOU the work that God has done as He has expanded His kingdom during the past two years!

Two years ago, as a church you voted to enter into a replant season. We were hopeful yet nervous about what the future might hold. We were excited for the plans made and the expectation to launch at Easter…but Covid. Covid changed a lot of things, and we recognize that it brought about changes at Community Covenant as well.

As plans are made for the fall, one of the changes we, along with the Leadership Team, feel led to make is to no longer use the word ‘replant’ to describe this particular season of ministry at CCC. We are thrilled that despite a challenging year in the midst of a global pandemic, we launched new ministries, financial giving remained consistent, and several first-time visitors chose to call CCC ‘home’. In many ways, we have not only met, but rather exceeded the benchmarks set forth in the replant agreement.

At the heart of a church replant is a body of believers making intentional choices that align themselves with how God is at work. Churches do not remain healthy and missional by accident, and CCC is no different. While the critical stakes of a replant may no longer apply to CCC, it is still imperative that we capture the urgency and intentionality of the replant that orients us to be a healthy missional church.

We don’t need a word to define what we are doing as a church. We simply need God’s vision and God’s mission, and we believe He has given that to us - to be a diverse community of missional influencers who are empowered to love God, love others, and make disciples, both near (Ackerman Elementary, Autumn Grove Apartments, neighborhoods around 156 & Q Street) and throughout the city.

We are excited about the many opportunities this fall to engage with friends, neighbors, and our community and go deeper in relationship with God and others. We invite you to save the dates, share them with someone you’d love to introduce to CCC, and pray about how God has called and equipped YOU to partner with us as we seek to further God’s Kingdom together!
