Where Life Begins - Week 3 Day 3

WEEK 3 // DAY 3

A NEW MIND

The Spirit’s work does not stop at changing your standing or your identity—He begins to reshape your inner life. Paul describes this as a shift in mindset. This is more than what you think about occasionally. It is what your mind is set on—what captures your attention, directs your desires, and shapes your decisions.

Before the Spirit’s work, your mind is governed by the flesh. Your thinking is naturally centered on yourself—your needs, your desires, your control. But when the Spirit gives you new life, He begins to reorient your inner world. Over time, your desires begin to shift. What once felt natural may begin to feel empty, and what once seemed distant may begin to draw you in.

This is where transformation becomes deeply personal. The Spirit is not just guiding your behavior—He is shaping your heart. He is forming new desires within you, leading you toward what brings life and peace. This does not happen instantly, but it is real and ongoing.

As you learn to set your mind on the Spirit, you begin to experience the fruit of His work. Life and peace begin to grow—not because everything around you is perfect, but because something within you is changing. Your thoughts, your responses, and your desires begin to align more with God’s heart.

The invitation today is to pay attention to where your mind is set. What are you feeding your thoughts with? What are you dwelling on? The Spirit is already at work, but your awareness and attention matteR.

Reflection Questions:

  • What does Paul say about the mindset of the Spirit?
  • How does the Spirit change what you desire and think about?
  • What influences your mindset most right now?
  • What is one way you can set your mind on the Spirit today?

Take time to reflect on your current thought patterns and write about how you want the Spirit to reshape your mind.
