GRADUATING SENIORS - If your student is graduating this spring (or graduated in the fall and has not yet been recognized), please inform the church office at admin@ccchurch.omhcoxmail.com so we can recognize them!  Please remember to include all the necessary information (school, honors, etc.), and let us know if you'd like to invite the church body to your student's graduation party.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY - May 12 - The Women's Bible Study on “Jesus the One and Only” by Beth Moore concluded on Monday, April 28.  We will not meet on Monday, May 5.   We will meet again at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 12, to plan our next Bible Study and to personally address invitations to put into all parent folders at Kids 4 Jesus, plus K4J staff, inviting them, as well as all Community Covenant Women and their friends, to a four week Beth Moore Study called “Loving Well”.  This new study will begin on Monday night, June 16.  More details to follow!  Everyone is welcomed to come on Monday, May 12, even if you have not attended the Women’s' Bible Study before.  It's a new beginning and we would love your input and help!

BACCALAUREATE 2008 - Sunday - May 18 - 2:00pm -Millard West Auditorium, 5710 South 176 Avenue - Speaker Ron Brown - a phenomenal speaker.  Please join us for a Christian Worship Service to bless students graduating from the Millard Public High Schools and celebrate their achievements.

MEN’S SPRING RETREAT - WHEN:  May 16-18.  WHERE:  Camp Cedars.  Weekend Plans:  Leave Friday evening, after work, go to Camp Cedars.  Saturday morning and afternoon: work at camp.  Saturday evening: Guy movie.  Sunday morning:  Breakfast and Worship Service.  Return home.  Additional Information: Contact Rob A or Mike M

VBS SIGN UPS! - June 9-13 (tentative dates) - Our sign-up sheet looks great so far! Thank you to all those who have already signed up! We do have a few other areas that need more help. Feel free to call or email Lori or myself if you are able to help out.  We need:  1)  At least one more adult to help with Registration.  2)  Some youth to help with crafts, registration, and snacks.  We will also need leaders, but we need to fill the above openings ASAP.  To those who have signed up already, Lori and I will be contacting you to set up some planning/meeting times!  We will be in touch!  Thank you ALL so much for volunteering your time to help teach our precious children!  Thanks so much! 2ND ANNUAL COMMUNITY COVENANT FAMILY CAMP - August 1-3 - The dates are set for the Second Annual Community Covenant Family Camp this summer.  Lots of good food, fun and worship.  More details will follow.  If you would like to help organize, please call Kim H or Kay C.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY MULTI-FAITH COALITION - Our church has been invited to participate again in the Habitat for Humanity Multi-Faith Coalition build this year.  I am looking to see if anyone would like to be our representative to meet with the organizers and help recruit volunteers from church.  If you feel a call or a passion or even a willingness to do this, please let me know and I will get you in touch with the right person.  Blessings!  Pastor Martha

HANDYMAN - Our church is blessed to have brother Uriah  from Jamaica worshipping with us for the next few months. Uriah was working at a resort, but by the time they took out expenses, his paycheck was only $12. His prayer is to earn enough money to make it worth being away from his family all this time. Weekdays, Rob is keeping him busy. Weekends and evenings, he'd like to pick up odd jobs. If you need an extra pair of hands, (building a deck, hanging drywall, assembling a swing set, etc) please contact Uriah through Cathy.

SOS PRISON MINISTRY – Perhaps a group of people would like to adopt one or more of the dates to serve a meal to the SOS Prison Ministry group. We have traditionally served on the fourth Friday of each month. There are three exceptions in 2008 (May, November, and December). It is an easy task and a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community. We will provide anyone with specific information. The menu is yours to create!
